Lomapostaus Saimaalta

No Stress in Cape Verde

Africa meets Middle East. That is my description of Cape Verde island Boa Vista. This was my second time in Africa, previously I visited South Africa four years ago. My experiences of Middle East date back to 2016-2017. So I would say that Boa Vista has parts of both of these countries. As a tourism place it has a lot to offer: many kilometres of fine beach, lovely weather, friendly people and good food.  The motto in this island is no stress. And that is the atmosphere in Boa Vista. We were staying in a five star all in clusive hotel so we didn't have to stress about anything. Food and beach access was always available. Although we ate a lot, I didn't feel bloated after our trip. You can read my older post about how to stay in shape on holidays . I would recommend this place for everyone. I think the place will start to attract even more tourists in the future because tourism hasn't reached its potentials. There are many quiet areas in ...

There's No Place Like Home

I'm back at home and boy it feels good to lie in my own bed and be back on my daily  routines .  As I was travelling home I had a lot of time to think about life and especially social media. By the way it felt great to be off line during daytime. It made me be more present and enjoy each moment without constant disruptions from my phone. This is something I intent to add in my daily life now that I'm back in business.  Back to the topic at hand.. As I was saying about social media, it's interesting how you get a certain picture of someone based on social media. For instance I usually post healthy food pictures because I want to inspire people to eat healthy and I live as I preach. Having said this, I still indulge and I have a sweet tooth. The other day my colleague was surprised as I was having a donut with my tea at work. It made me laugh and I realized that do most people actually think I don't eat "unhealthy" food? The reason why I normally...

I´m Travelling to...

As I mentioned in my Summer Holiday to Do -post , I am going on a special trip with my son.. This time we are going to Greece!! Wuhuu! So now the first weeks of my holiday has passed and as I am travelling soon, I am going to disconnect from everything: social media and this blog. Teaching is a hard job and after a long semester you really need to just rest and get your mind off from any creative work. As I said before "a rested mind is a creative mind" it is so true in my case. Writing this blog is a hobby for me and I want to keep it that way so by taking this week off I am trying not to stress about anything. Most of my blog topics come easily when I am exercising or enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. Usually the best topics pop up when I have rested extremely well and feel very happy and blessed. Therefore, this is my way of taking off and "brewing" new post ideas. In the mean while have a look at this amazing scenery which awaits us: These pictu...

Finding Balance

Are you a person who performs her life? I am or I want to think that I used to be ☺ because I decided that it's about time to slow down a bit and invest in my recovery and my inner peace. As for the past two years have been really hectic as I have been working full time and at the same time doing my Masters studies in English. This meaning that I literally have had no proper holidays in two years as I tried to schedule more study days when I had holiday from my actual work. Now when I have had time to stop and think about all this, I am so ready to take it more easy and invest in myself.  So what does this actually mean? I try to do more yoga on a regular basis. I try to workout in a way that I will listen to my body and not stress about having enough time to go to the gym. This means that I already quit my gym membership so I don't have to stress about the fact that do I have enough time to go to the gym. It takes more time to go to the gym ...
