There are many studies which indicate that the fact which matters the most is the calorie content and not the proportion of macro-nutrients that determine weight loss success! So please, stop wasting time to count your macros (proteins, fats and carbs) and instead check how much calories you actually need in a day and eat a bit less in order to lose weight. Aim for 500 calorie deficit in a day by exercising little more or decrease your caloric intake.

Portion sizes really matter. So pay attention to those. Also avoid sugar because there is so many ways how to say "sugar", for instance

One extra advice for you: always eat breakfast! Start your day right with a nutrient dense breakfast and it is easier to resist cravings before lunch.
